Winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award. The scene is Hazlehurst, Mississippi, where the three Magrath sisters have gathered to await news of the family patriarch, their grandfather, who is living out his last hours in the local hospital. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at thirty and facing diminishing marital prospects; Meg, the middle sister, who quickly outgrew Hazlehurst, is back after a failed singing career on the West Coast; while Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband in the stomach. Their troubles, grave and yet, somehow, hilarious, are highlighted by their priggish cousin, Chick, and by the awkward young lawyer who tries to keep Babe out of jail while helpless not to fall in love with her. In the end the play is the story of how its young characters escape the past to seize the future-but the telling is so true and touching and consistently hilarious that it will linger in the mind long after the curtain has descended.

Edwina Spoonapple would do just about anything to be a part of the Kalamazoo Advice-a-Palooza Festival. While her siblings all have proof "up on the fridge" of their accomplishments, poor Edwina has nothing. When a talent scout from the Festival visits her hometown of Paw Paw, Michigan, she trots out her musical advice in a show live from the family garage in hopes of finding her place in the spotlight. She is assisted by her older siblings and a host of quirky friends and neighbors, including Kelli, the cool, sophisticated ballerina; Annie, the girl-scout cookie-selling champion; Billy, one-third of the Vanderploonk triplets; Bobby, the befuddled new kid on the block; and Scott, who is helplessly and hopelessly in love with Edwina. Together they set out to tackle the world's problems, in number after hysterical number about everything from birthday party etiquette to the proper way to set a table. Sweet, smart and tuneful, it appeals to audiences of all ages, as Edwina doles out advice, and finally learns to listen to some of it herself.

The Drowsy Chaperone pays homage to American musicals of the Jazz Age, examining the effect musicals have on the fans who adore them. The Man in Chair, a mousy, agoraphobic Broadway fanatic, seeking to cure his "non-specific sadness", listens to a recording of the fictional 1928 musical comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone. As he listens to this rare recording, he is transported into the musical. The characters appear in his dingy apartment, and it is transformed into a glorious Broadway set with seashell footlights, sparkling furniture, painted backdrops, and over the top costumes.
The plot of the show-within-a-show centers on Janet Vandegraff, a showgirl looking to give up the stage in order to marry an oil tycoon, Robert Martin. However, Janet is the star of "Feldzieg's Follies", and Feldzieg, her producer, is being threatened with bodily harm by two gangsters employed by his chief investor. Disguised as pastry chefs, these two pun-happy thugs threaten Feldzieg to stop the wedding, in order to ensure Janet's participation in the next production of Feldzieg's Follies. In order to save himself, Feldzieg enlists Aldolpho, a bumbling Latin Lothario, to seduce Janet and spoil her relationship with Robert. What follows is a pastiche of every classic, clichéd plot thread ever to grace the stage, including mistaken identities, dream sequences, spit takes involving such stock characters as an unflappable English butler, an absent-minded dowager, a ditzy chorine, a harried best man, and, last but certainly not least, Janet's "Drowsy" (read "Tipsy") Chaperone.

"The Golden Harp" is a clever and genuinely funny musical history lesson on Greek mythology. Tuneful songs with clever arrangements jump out in a variety of pop genres while introducing us to the comic side of Zeus, Haides, and Demeter. With humor and creativity "The Golden Harp" cleverly tells the story of how Persephone becomes Queen of the Underworld AND the Princess of Spring, while making the gods accessibly human. Originally debuted at the B Street Theatre, this production, written by Greg Alexander, promises to bring delight to all ages while teaching them in the process (but don't tell the kids).

Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'", "It's Raining on Prom Night", "Alone at the Drive-In Movie" recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An 8-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals along with innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the world's most popular musicals.

Set in a modern art museum, "Museum" explores the effect that art can have on its audience, revealing as much about human nature as about the art itself. The script features over 40 characters: patrons, curators, art lovers, janitors, photographers, security guards, an artist, and many others who come through the gallery. Most actors play multiple roles.

Holed up in a Times Square hotel with 19 hungry actors and a ballooning room service bill, he tries to forestall eviction with an outlandish plan. A cross between traditional Italian commedia and postmodern vaudeville, this new version of Goldoni's classic pits the madcap servant Truffaldino against masters, mistresses, lovers, lawyers and twenty-seven plates of meatballs. Imagine a Bob Hope or Woody Allen comedy written by Monty Python and performed with the physical bravura of Chaplin or Keaton-with places in the script for ad-libs and audience participation.

A fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty Ragtime", "Once On This Island") have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters.
The story centers around Horton the Elephant, who finds himself faced with a double challenge - not only must he protect his tiny friend Jojo (and the invisible Whos) from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him, the only one who recognizes "his kind and powerful heart". Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant; in a story that makes you laugh and cry.

Originally released by MGM in 1952, the film version of Singin' in the Rain starring Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Conner, won numerous honors including several Academy Awards. In 2006, it was named by the American Film Institute as the number one movie musical of all time. Singin' in the Rain is a hysterically funny "backstage" musical set in 1927 Hollywood during the difficult transition from silent films to talking pictures. In the story, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are the darlings of the silent silver screen and the biggest stars at Monumental Pictures. But with the advent of "talkies", the public demands musicals and the screechy-voiced Lina can't sing or dance. With help from Don and his new girl friend, the golden-throated up-and-coming starlet Kathy Seldon, the studio cooks up a scheme to have Kathy sing and provide the on-screen voice for Lina. But when Lina learns the studio's secret, its heart-break and hi-jinks for Don and Kathy.
